Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of celebrating an incredible couple as they said “I do” surrounded by their family and friends at one of Key West’s most beautiful waterfront venues. From the moment the day began, there was an overwhelming sense of excitement, gratitude, and joy that carried through every part of the celebration. Even with a little Florida rain making an appearance, not once did it take away from what truly mattered.
If anything, it simply became part of the story.
A Waterfront Lunara Bay Wedding in Key West
Nestled along the water, Lunara Bay provided the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable celebration. The couple exchanged vows overlooking the water before celebrating with family and friends in the venue’s stunning backyard reception space. With tropical surroundings, waterfront views, and thoughtful details woven throughout the day, every part of the celebration felt warm, welcoming, and effortlessly beautiful.
One of our favorite things about planning a Key West wedding is that the destination naturally encourages everyone to slow down and be present. Friends and family gathered from near and far to celebrate, creating the kind of atmosphere that reminds us what weddings are truly about. Beautiful design certainly enhances the experience, but it’s the people, the laughter, and the shared moments that become the memories everyone carries home.
Choosing Joy
Like many Florida weddings, the weather kept everyone on their toes. A passing rain shower could have easily become the focus of the day, but this couple never gave it the chance.
Instead, they embraced every moment exactly as it came.
They smiled through the changing forecast, laughed through the unexpected moments, and never lost sight of the reason everyone had gathered together in the first place. That perspective shaped the entire celebration. Guests followed their lead, the energy remained joyful, and by the end of the evening, no one was talking about the weather.
