Some wedding days simply feel effortless.
Not because every detail magically falls into place. But because the joy shared between two people has a way of making every moment shine just a little brighter. That was exactly the feeling throughout Laura and Jessica’s wedding day in Key West.
From the moment they exchanged vows beneath the historic Key West Lighthouse to celebrating with family and friends at The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum. Every part of their day reflected who they are as a couple – joyful, genuine, and completely present.
There’s something undeniably special about beginning a wedding day at the Key West Lighthouse. Standing as one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks, it offers a setting that’s rich in history while still feeling intimate enough for a heartfelt ceremony.
As Laura and Jessica stood together to exchange their vows, you could see the excitement written across their faces. The ceremony wasn’t rushed or overly elaborate. It was filled with meaningful moments, quiet smiles, and the unmistakable happiness that comes from knowing you’ve found your person.
Family and friends looked on as they officially began their next chapter together, surrounded by one of Key West’s most iconic backdrops.
One of the things we love most about pairing the Key West Lighthouse with The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum is how naturally the day flows from one location to the next.
After the ceremony, guests made the short walk across Whitehead Street. The lush tropical gardens of the Hemingway Home offered an entirely different atmosphere. While the Lighthouse provided a historic setting for saying “I do,” the gardens welcomed everyone into an evening that felt warm, relaxed, and unmistakably Key West.
Towering palms, colorful tropical foliage, and the property’s historic charm created the perfect backdrop for cocktail hour, dinner, and a night of celebration beneath the stars.
One of our favorite moments from the day wasn’t tied to a timeline or a specific event.
It was watching Laura and Jessica take in their reception for the first time.
Like so many couples, they had spent months making thoughtful decisions. Dreaming about how everything would come together. And trusting their team to bring that vision to life. Seeing them pause, look around the gardens, and simply soak it all in was a reminder of why we love what we do.
Every carefully chosen detail felt personal. More importantly, every decision reflected the atmosphere they wanted to create. One that was welcoming, joyful, and centered on celebrating with the people they love most.
Throughout the evening, Laura and Jessica never lost sight of what mattered most.
They spent the night laughing with friends, sharing heartfelt embraces with family, and dancing beneath the canopy of tropical trees. It was the kind of celebration where the timeline faded into the background because everyone was simply enjoying being together.
Their excitement was contagious, and it was impossible not to smile watching them experience each moment with such genuine appreciation.
For couples planning a destination wedding, combining a ceremony at the Key West Lighthouse with a reception at The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum offers the best of both worlds.
The Lighthouse provides a timeless and historic setting for exchanging vows. The Hemingway Home creates an unforgettable reception experience with its lush tropical gardens, historic architecture, and relaxed island atmosphere. Located directly across the street from one another, the transition between ceremony and reception feels effortless.
It’s a pairing that captures everything people love about getting married in Key West. History, tropical beauty, walkability, and a celebration that feels both elegant and uniquely local.
Laura and Jessica, thank you for allowing us to be part of such an incredible day.
Watching you celebrate surrounded by your favorite people was a beautiful reminder that the most memorable weddings aren’t defined by elaborate details. They’re defined by the love, laughter, and genuine connection shared throughout the day.
We wish you both a lifetime of adventures, unforgettable memories, and countless reasons to celebrate together.
